eToro, "the social trading platform", announced today the launch of its own exchange: eToroX.

On top of the crypto trading platform, they also announced no less than 9 stablecoins (allegedly backed up with their equivalent in fiat). The stablecoins are: EURX (Euro), AUDX (Australian Dollar), RUBX (Russian Ruble), CADX (Canadian Dollar), USDEX (US Dollar), CHFX (Swiss Franc), GBPX (Pound Sterling), NZDX (New Zealand Dollar), JPYX (Japanese Yen). It's not yet clear how these assets are backed and, apart from eToroX, there is no news about other exchanges listing them. Completing these stablecoins, there are also 2 assets listed: GOLDX (Gold), SLVRX (Silver), but again, is not clear how these assets are backed.

The exchange has 37 pairs and it allows trading for BTC, ETH, XRP, Dash, Litecoin and BCH, in various combinations.

What's interesting is that this new operations is fully licensed under Gibraltar law.

No news about when STEEM will be listed there, though.
