Don’t you love it when Friday rolls around?

Since it’s Friday I think we need to end the week with a smile! Especially necessary with the current crypto prices.

What do you call a coconut that goes into space?.....A Coco-Naut!

Where do intergalactic coconuts grab a drink?....At the Milky Way!

What did one coconut say to the other?....Got Milk?

I know…pretty bad but I just had to share a little smile with you!

Back to what I really wanted to share with you!

Friday is typically Market Day. Time to pick up fresh fruits and veggies for the weekend.

One item I won’t be buying is Coconut Milk!

Did you realize you can make your own coconut milk? It is so simple, and you won’t have to worry about running out of Coconut Milk any longer!


Fresh Organic Coconut Milk!

All you need is Organic unsweetened Shredded Coconut!

  • 4 cups hot water (not boiling)
  • 1/1/2 cup shredded coconut
    Optional: Vanilla or other flavoring of your choice

Yes, really that is all! If you think about it, shredded coconut is just dehydrated coconut meat. We are just planning to re-hydrate the meat and make milk.

Place the coconut in your favorite blender. Add the water and blend for a few minutes. (If your blender doesn’t hold all of the water, just keep it aside and we’ll reprocess the coconut with the rest of the water) Pour the milk through a sieve to drain) If you wish you can also strain again through cheesecloth or a milk bag. I didn’t find this necessary.

Refrigerate and it's ready to go! Coconut Milk will stay fresh for 3-4 days. The best part is you know it is fresh, and no additives, no preservatives! You will find the milk may separate when refrigerated so just shake it before you serve it. Or…..if you need coconut cream, skim the cream off of the top. Use this to make yogurt as well. I shared a post a few weeks ago which included making yogurt
