Today is New Year’s Eve. I started running before sunrise.

This is my last workout in 2018. Running in the darkness, I recalled my running life of this year. How many times did I run back and forth at Harbor Walk during this year? I’d like to give thanks that I have kept on running without major injury or illness during this year.

Eventually, I ran 22 km with a good pace. I could end this year’s workout with satisfactory running.

Well, this is my last post of this year, so I’d like to look back on my running activity in this year.

This year I ran 3242 km totally. The distance is 1200 km longer than one of last year (2025 km). I ran more than 200km in all months, and ran more than 300km in five months.

On 7th January, I ran a half marathon in 1:28’09”.( The 2nd HAT Kobe Dream Run ) It is my personal best time of half marathon. On 11th February, I ran a half marathon in 1:32’09”, ( 2018 UNICEF Cup Kobe Valentine Love Run ) and on 4th March, I ran a full marathon in 3:20’09”. (The 38th Sasayama ABC Marathon )
1月7日には、ハーフマラソンを1時間28分09秒のタイムで走りました(第2回HAT神戸ドリームラン)。これが僕のハーフマラソン自己ベストです。2月11日には、ハーフマラソンを1時間32分09秒のタイムで(2018 UNICEFカップ神戸バレンタインラブラン)、3月4日には、フルマラソンを3時間20分09秒のタイムで走りました(第38回篠山ABCマラソン)。

Besides, on 8th December, I ran a full marathon in 3:10’45”.( The 1st HAT Kobe Marathon ) It is my personal best time of full marathon.

My personal best time of full marathon and half marathon both were set in this year. This fact shows that my running life was so fulfilling in this year.

On the other hand, I missed a half marathon in October because of a cold. This sad experience reminded me of the importance of health management.

In the new year, I’d like to do more workouts and run better races than this year.
